- UX Lead
- User Research
- Sketching and Wireframing
- Visual Design
I partnered with the product manager and a visual designer to translate concepts into features that address customer needs and goals. I defined the product with the product manager and balanced between customer and business goals. I prioritized and negotiated features for launch and beyond. I executed wireframes, prototypes and design specs. I created prototypes to share the vision, design principles and content strategy. I presented works to gain buy‐in from executives, senior stakeholders and many other Amazon teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Users want to easily manage group payments
- Transactions usually start with requestor requesting money from multiple parties
- Users want to receive money via debit accounts or Amazon gift cards
- Users can request money
- Users can send money
- Users can manage payment history
- Users can manage active requests
- Users can receive money via debit accounts
With these assumptions in mind, the PM and I started to create low fidelity mocks that address our target customers' needs and goals. I like testing often and early using low fidelity mocks, because its easier to change if our assumptions are incorrect.
Review and feedback
After we validated our assumptions, I created higher fidelity mocks. Amazon is very heavily focused on feedback and review sessions with the entire team (Designers, PM's, and Engineers). I received a great amount of useful feedback after each review session to improve design decisions.
